Mathematics

  • Develop fluency counting forwards in the correct order from 1 to 10.
  • Connect the block length, number name and numeral.
  • Develop the concept that each number in the counting sequence is one greater than the number before it.

Language

  • one longer
  • one more than (later introduce ‘one greater than’)
  • one number after
